With integrity and accountability at our core, we commit to 'leading with love', embodying our dedication to quality care, education, and a steadfast respect for every individual's contribution to our mission.JOB SUMMARY: To provide quality wound, ostomy, continence (WOC) nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age appropriate care in a manner that incorporates family centered principals and cost effective care.The WOCN is responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that cultivates exemplary patient care related to wound, ostomy, and continence nursing care. The WOCN facilitates continuous quality improvement through the development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The WOCN mentors others, role models professionalism and participation in activities such as nursing organizations, nursing research, the community, and bodies that shape health care policies and practices. Routine decisions include the assessment of patients, formulation of treatment plans with appropriate products in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/specialized training/licensure:- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree in nursing, master's degree in business administration, master's degree in health care administration, or related field is preferred.- Graduate of an accredited wound, ostomy, continence nursing education program. - Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program.- Cert Wound, Ostomy, Cont Nurs (Or) Certified Wound Care Nurse (Or) Certified Ostomy Care Nurse (Or) Certifd Wound Ostomy Nurse (Or) Cert Continence Care Nurse certification required within one year of hireWork experience: Five years of work experience in related clinical area of practice.Management experience: Additional Administrative or Research experience preferred.Equipment operated: Standard office equipment SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Composing Correspondence, Writing /Composing Reports Other Skills: Analytical, Design, Medical Terms, P.C., Research, Statistical, Word Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, On Call
