Job Description

This role is ideal for an experienced Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can effectively prioritize patient needs, and is passionate about creating a positive patient experience. What You'll Do:Provide direct patient care under the delegation and supervision of a provider.Support patient flow by efficiently rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for examination and treatment.Assist with clinical procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other urgent care-related responsibilities.Recognize and respond appropriately to the needs of patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and other team members to ensure safe, timely, and compassionate care.Maintain accurate documentation and support quality, safety, and service excellence initiatives. What We're Looking For:Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care, walk-in clinic, or other fast-paced ambulatory care environment strongly preferred.Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and remain composed while caring for patients with varying levels of acuity.Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.Commitment to delivering care that reflects the Wake Way to Excellence through compassion, respect, and accountability. This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys the variety and pace of urgent care while making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of the Chapel Hill community.
