Room Service Assistant

Base salary starts at **$15.73/hr**. **E S S E N T I A L F U N C T I O N S ** * Visits with each patient to take their order, helping the patient follow the prescribed diet order. * Assists with tray assembly, delivers trays to patients, and picks up trays. * Records calorie count information and charts meal intake. * Assists the kitchen as needed. * Other duties as assigned. **E D U C A T I O N** * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. **E X P E R I E N C E** * At least one (1) year food handling and customer service experience preferred. * Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred. **C R E D E N T I A L S ** * Must have current, valid BLS certification or must obtain within 60 days of hire and must maintain credential throughout employment with IMH. **K N O W L E D G E, S K I L L S A N D A B I L I T I E S ** * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills. * Must have proficient computer skills. * Must have the ability to learn how to chart oral intake of meals in the Electronic Medical Record. * Must have the ability to obtain Diet Orders and RSA reports from the Electronic Medical Record. * Must have the ability to complete therapeutic diet training and attend monthly diet education in-services. * Must demonstrate knowledge of hospital therapeutic diet orders.
