Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receive and process invoices in an efficient manner.
Review invoices for accuracy and applies credits or discounts.
Prepares accounts payable checks and processes them for disbursement.
Obtains the required signatures on all accounts payable checks.
Disburses checks in a timely manner.
Maintains accounts payable records and prepares related reports/
Records all invoices, adjustments, and payments in the accounts payable system.
Determines the input required for payroll preparation.
Establishes the procedures and schedules needed to obtain the necessary information.
Reviews time cards and authorized deductions for accuracy and compliance with compensation policies.
Monitors the preparation of paychecks and payroll reports.
Delivers paychecks at the scheduled time.
Assures payroll taxes and deductions are correctly processed in a timely manner.
Maintains required payroll records for the time period stipulated by law.
Maintains strict confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis.
Interacts with all employees and managers on personal compensation matters.
Process Premier Labor Productivity report on biweekly basis published for all hospital directors
Compile monthly cash forecast on a weekly basis
Compile trended AR reports on a weekly basis, monitor financial indicators for Business Office.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITIES:
Detail oriented
Good with basic math
Proficient in Excel and Word.

Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills necessary to identify age-specific patient needs appropriate for this position.

Treats all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education – High School Diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
Work Experience – Two years in a payroll/AP setting preferred; knowledge of all aspects of payroll in terms of what and how work is to be done as well as why it is done, including interpretation of data
