Emergency Admitting Coordinator Position Summary This position is responsible for coordinating the Emergency Registration processes and workflow; acts as Emergency Registrar, Admitting Officer or Bed Control staff as necessary; interacts in a professional and customer-focused manner with patients, families and visitors. Emergency Admitting Coordinator Position Requirements Education High School graduate or equivalent required. Advanced courses in computers, office, or public relations preferred. Experience At least two years as a registrar, collector, or patient account representative or equivalent, plus one to two years' business office experience. Speed and accuracy with calculator required. Computer experience required. Customer service experience preferred. Requires six months on-the-job training. Emergency Admitting Coordinator Work Schedule May rotate day, evening, night shift, week and weekend, with overtime as required, to meet staffing needs. Works holidays.
