Part-Time Chaplain Position Requirements Education A level of theological education consistent with the requirements of the chaplain’s denomination. Ecclesiastical endorsement for hospital ministry. Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), Willing to undergo CPE Supervisory Training, has a well-developed sense of his/her gifts and calling to be a CPE Supervisor.
