Summary:
This position is accountable for the development of business systems for assigned functional area of the organization. Works closely with user management and peer level data processing in the scheduling, development, and implementation of new systems projects, and the maintenance of current systems for a major functional/user area of the organization. This position is also accountable for the recommendation and implementation of state of the art data structures and techniques. It has overall responsibility for the standardization of the data portion of systems throughout Baptist Health. Works closely with user management and peer level information systems managers to ensure the definition, understanding of, and conformity to data standards. Responsible for a system-wide view of data; its definition, structure, retrieval and use. Has responsibility for personnel actions including hire/fire, promotions, salary increase, training and development. Participates in the departmental budget process and short/long term planning of directions for the network area. This position reports to the AVP or Director of Information Systems. This manager coordinates with various levels of Baptist Health Management in the ongoing support of Corporate Business.
Other information:
Education/Experience: Prefer a B.S. Degree/Equiv. relevant to hospital management, information technology, or related field, or 6 or more years of IT professional and managerial/leadership experience in lieu of degree. Minimum of 6 years IT professional and managerial/leadership experience.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong problem solving, decision-making and communication skills.
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
