Position: Insurance VerifierLocation: Boulder City Hospital – Boulder City, NVEmployment Type: Full-TimeBenefits: Full Benefits Package AvailablePosition Overview:Boulder City Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Insurance Verifier to join our team. This role is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, confirming benefits, and obtaining necessary authorizations for scheduled and unscheduled services. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of insurance processes within a healthcare setting.General Purpose:The Insurance Verification Recorder is responsible for verifying insurance, benefits, and obtaining authorizations for patients presenting for services when advance registration notification has not been received for non-emergency services. For emergency services, authorizations are obtained as soon as possible in accordance with individual insurance requirements and hospital policy.Key Responsibilities:Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits accurately and efficientlyObtain prior authorizations for procedures and services as requiredEnsure compliance with insurance company guidelines and hospital policiesCommunicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal departments regarding coverage and authorization statusDocument all verification and authorization activities in the appropriate systemsAssist with resolving insurance-related issues prior to service deliveryEssential Functions:Ability to lift, walk, carry, and stand as neededPerform all duties accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentMeet attendance and reliability standardsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience in insurance verification, medical billing, or healthcare administration preferredKnowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamBenefits:Competitive pay (DOE)Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Retirement plan optionsOpportunities for growth and developmentEqual Opportunity Employer Statement:Boulder City Hospital is an equal opportunity employer.
