Per Diem Admitting RepresentativeBoulder City Hospital – Boulder City, NVBoulder City Hospital is seeking a professional and customer-focused Per Diem Admitting Representative to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by accurately registering patients, verifying insurance information, obtaining authorizations, and assisting with payment collections.Position SummaryThe Admitting Representative is responsible for registering patients for hospital admissions and outpatient procedures while ensuring all demographic, insurance, and financial information is accurate and complete. This position serves as a key point of contact for patients and families and helps facilitate a smooth registration process.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRegister patients for hospital admissions, outpatient services, and procedures.Verify patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy.Obtain insurance pre-authorizations and referrals as required.Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments in accordance with hospital policies.Explain registration forms, consent documents, and financial responsibilities to patients.Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Answer patient questions and provide exceptional customer service.Coordinate with clinical departments, insurance companies, and physician offices to ensure accurate and timely registration.Maintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic health record system.Assist with other patient access and registration duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Previous healthcare registration, admissions, patient access, medical office, or customer service experience preferred.Experience with insurance verification and authorization processes preferred.Basic computer and data entry skills required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong customer service and communication skills.Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of medical insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, walk, carry, and stand as needed.Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Why Join Boulder City Hospital?Supportive and collaborative healthcare environmentOpportunity to make a positive impact on patient experiencesFlexible per diem schedulingWork with a dedicated team committed to exceptional patient careJoin Boulder City Hospital and help create a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate experience for every patient we serve.
