Performs a variety of Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures including abdominal scans, obstetric and gynecological scans, small parts, and vascular scans. utilizing all aspects of diagnostic ultrasound equipment. Operates ultrasonic equipment to produce images of the body#s organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Records test results, inspects and maintains equipment, and orders supplies when needed. Requires completion of an accredited program in Medical Sonography. Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May require a state license to practice. JOB QUALIFICATIONS # Education, Training, Experience: Education: High school diploma with graduation from a School of Radiology Technology or a Credentialed Ultrasound Imaging Program. Licensure: Certified/ licensed by American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT Ultrasound). Candidate must be registered at time of hire with a national accrediting body in the practice of Diagnostic Ultrasound. Certifications required: See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy. Experience: Candidate must hold national registry at time of hire. #Knowledge of Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small Parts, and Vascular procedures is preferred.
