ChristianaCare is looking for a dedicated Environmental Services Assistant II – Floor Tech to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our patients, caregivers, and visitors. Supports infection prevention practices and contributes to a positive patient experience.Key ResponsibilitiesClean and maintain patient, clinical, and non-clinical areas of the hospitalPerform floor care duties, including stripping/refinishing floors, carpet shampooing, and upholstery cleaningDisinfect precaution rooms according to infection control protocolsRemove trash, soiled linen, bulk waste, and infectious waste to appropriate locationsMaintain equipment, carts, and supply areas in a clean, organized, and safe conditionStock supplies such as paper products and soap throughout assigned areasRespond promptly to assigned tasks and communication during shiftIdentify and report safety hazards or maintenance concernsFollow all safety, infection control, and departmental policiesMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience preferredAt least 1 year of environmental services or housekeeping experience preferredRequired SkillsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectivelyCustomer service-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWorking ConditionsProlonged standing, walking, bending, and liftingPossible exposure to infectious materials; PPE requiredMust follow all safety requirements, including use of protective equipmentWhy ChristianaCareChristianaCare is committed to providing excellent care and creating a supportive environment for our caregivers. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.74 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.74 per hour.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
