Sonographer - OB/GYN Clinic

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Sonographer for our Radiology Department as we continue to grow. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The OB/GYN and Pediatrics Clinic at CMH delivers seamless care, from women’s health and maternity care to newborn and pediatric services. The clinic offers a comfortable setting for patients to receive complete pregnancy care, 3D/4D ultrasounds, infertility testing and treatment, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and more.

A typical day will include: Preparing patients for exams, operating sonographic equipment, analyzing images, and collaborating with other healthcare providers and team members to provide caring, individualized treatment to our patients. 

Interviews patients to gather medical history, explains the ultrasound process, and ensures physical and emotional comfort during exams
Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations appropriate to patients' ages and treatment plans 
Positions patients during examinations to assure optimal imaging has been achieved; re-images as necessary
Documents findings and ensures images are properly recorded 

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program - RDMS certification (Abdomen, OBGYN, and RVT) preferred
Experience: 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered
Skills: Patient care, attention to detail, teamwork, communication
Licensure/Certification: Certified by the American Registry of Medical Sonographers

This position is PRN - 20 hours every 2 weeks.
