Job Description

****DEFINITION:****

****The Hospital Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a hospital issued vehicle for official hospital business. This position works as part of an organizational initiative to provide courier services for interdepartmental needs to include transporting laboratory specimens, supplies, and or any other hospital needed item(s). While performing set duties the driver ensures safe vehicle operation and assists with transport logistics.****

****EDUCATION:****

1. ****High school diploma or an equivalent qualification preferred.****

****REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):****

1. ****Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record****

****MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:****

* ****Must be 21 years of age or older****

****PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:****

* ****Previous experience with courier routes and specimen handling****
