**Lead a Team. Elevate Patient Care. Drive Results.** Deaconess Illinois Crossroads is seeking a **Nursing Manager** to oversee our **Medical/Surgical and ICU units**. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is passionate about leading teams, improving outcomes, and delivering exceptional patient-centered care. **Job Overview:** As Nursing Manager - Med/Surg & ICU, you will provide **overall leadership and daily operations** for both units. You'll guide your team in delivering high-quality care, ensure adherence to clinical best practices, and create a safe, efficient environment that supports patients and staff. This role includes staff leadership, budget oversight, quality improvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Staff Management:** Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage staffing and schedules for both Med/Surg and ICU units. * **Patient Care:** Oversee patient care, ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols across Med/Surg and ICU populations. * **Quality & Safety:** Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor outcomes, and uphold safety standards. * **Resource Management:** Manage unit budget, staffing, and supplies; ensure effective resource utilization. * **Collaboration:** Partner with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans. * **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety procedures. * **Patient/Family Support:** Provide education and support to patients and families. **Qualifications:** * **RN with current Illinois license** * **BSN required** (or ability to obtain within 3 years of hire) * **3 -5 years nursing experience**, including 2+ years in a leadership role * Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills **Required Experience:** * At least **five years in a clinical setting** , preferably including ICU experience * **Three years previous management experience preferred** **Compensation & Incentives:** * **Hourly:** $36.30-$54.44 * Performance-based bonus potential * Evening/night/weekend shift incentives per policy **Benefits:** * Flexible schedules (full-time/part-time/supplemental; day/eve/night) * Tuition reimbursement & Student Loan Repayment Program * Payactiv - earned wage access * Career advancement opportunities * Comprehensive healthcare and retirement plans Explore All Benefits
