OverviewMust have knowledge of medical terminology, must be self-motivated, & be able to exercise sound judgment in response to inquiries by patients & visitors. You must be able to prioritize tasks efficiently, concentrate on tasks being performed, & be adaptable to change. Must be able to multi-task. Must be able to perform duties quickly & accurately. Must be computer literate. ResponsibilitiesAssisting patients, answering questions, and greeting themHandling phone calls, call bells, and inquiries, and communicating with other departments, physicians, and guestsManaging patient admissions and dischargesCoordinating with medical staff to relay important information, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentialityEnsure that necessary forms and documentation are completed Support the emergency department by organizing and prioritizing tasks, assisting with patient flow, and maintaining a clean and orderly workspace.Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies QualificationsCompletion of high school or its equivalentKnowledge of medical terminologyBasic knowledge of computers
