SIGN ON BONUS JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Operating Room Clinical Leader, a licensed Registered Nurse in the Operating Room will assume the responsibility and accountability for the direct and indirect implementation of the patient#s plan of care in the Perioperative setting. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating members of the care team, focusing on the provision of individualized quality patient care consistent with organizational standards. Circulating Registered Nurses assist surgeons during operations and are responsible for communication and education of surgical patients and their families in making sure that the patient receives optimal care in Perioperative setting.# As a member of the surgical team, the Registered Nurse Circulator in the Operating Room will assist surgeons and anesthesiologists while he/she works as a member of the surgical team. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Professional # Technical Skills Experience gained through an approved School of Nursing plus an appropriate period of hospital orientation to the assigned patient care area and to personnel. Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN or obtain within 6 years (current ASNs with MHP refer to SPP No. HR-18) License(s) or Certification(s) Must possess a current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse. Other Skills or Requirements One yer scrubbing experience preferred but not required.
