Summary SUMMARY: SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Coordinator, Intake Referral is responsible for coordinating and ensuring referrals and/or preauthorizations are managed and addressed appropriately. Works collaboratively with the health care team and thepatient to schedule referral appointments and independently completes the process for required precertification and prior authorizations in a timely manner.EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of experience in a office preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS: Working knowledge of medical terminology and knowledge of various insurance company requirements for precertification and referrals.OTHER: Basic office skills, critical thinking, detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.EDUCATION: Required: High School or Equivalent
