Position HighlightsDepartment: Clinical EngineeringHours: 40 hours/weekShift: Days, 1st ShiftPosition Summary:This position requires performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance, safety testing and minor to major equipment repairs for the Health System’s medical equipment management program.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM)Verifies that patient related and non-patient equipment is functionally operational and safe to use, after PM’s, repairs or initial incoming inspectionMaintains spare parts inventories and makes a new inventory on parts for new equipmentDocuments work performed in the computer management system and assists with writing equipment maintenance procedures as required for the equipment management programParticipates in training programs to expand knowledge relevant to clinical equipment maintenance, repair or initial incoming inspectionsConducts visits to various departments to check operation and safety of electronic and mechanical equipmentDemonstrates the ability to make equipment decisions while performing in fast-paced, high pressure environmentsMaintains all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly mannerMinimum Qualifications5 years of experience repairing and maintaining a variety of medical equipment.CBET certifiedAdept at using applicable test equipment properlyPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree in Biomedical Technology (BMET) or Electronic Engineering, or applicable military trainingBachelor’s level degree preferred8 years of experience repairing and maintaining a variety of medical equipment, including many high risk devices.Capable of managing projects in an effective manner by meeting all constraints.Capable of performing training seminars for other techniciansComprehensive Benefits Offered:Competitive and affordable health benefits (total rewards package)403(b) retirement plan with company matchingPaid holidays, time off and sick timeWellness rewards programQuick commute access from I-84, I-91, Route 9 and surrounding areasFree parking with shuttle drop-off service…and much more!About Middlesex HealthThe Smarter Choice for your Career!Come join one of Connecticut’s Top Workplaces, and a Magnet designated organization!
