Position HighlightsDepartment: Outpatient Mental HealthHours: 40 hours per weekPosition SummaryThe Perinatal Outpatient Clinician provides assessment, psychotherapy, care coordination, and support services to individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This clinician works with patients experiencing a range of behavioral health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment challenges, substance use, relationship stressors, and complications related to pregnancy, childbirth, infertility, loss, and early parenting.The clinician collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, referral sources, medical providers, and community partners to support the emotional wellbeing of patients and families in a compassionate, trauma-informed outpatient setting.Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field requiredCurrent licensure or license-eligibility (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) in CTExperience providing outpatient psychotherapy required Knowledge of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and maternal mental healthExperience with trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary collaborationStrong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a teamMust have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organizedCommitment to compassionate, patient-centered, and culturally responsive care Preferred Qualifications:Perinatal mental health certification/training (such as through Postpartum Support International) or specialized training or certification in perinatal mental healthExperience working with perinatal populations strongly preferred Experience working with trauma, attachment, and/or family systemsExperience collaborating with medical providersBilingual or multilingual skillsFamiliarity with evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT, attachment-focused, or trauma-informed interventions Experience/knowledge of substance use disordersExperience/competency in working with LGBTQ+ Comprehensive Benefits OfferedCompetitive and affordable benefits packageShift DifferentialsContinuing Education assistanceTuition reimbursementStudent Loan relief through FiduciusQuick commute access from I-84, Route 9 and surrounding areasAbout Middlesex HealthThe Smarter Choice for your Career!Come join one of Connecticut’s Top Workplaces, and a Magnet designated organization!
