Position HighlightsDepartment: Diagnostic Imaging - Outpatient CenterHours: Per DiemPosition Summary:The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of breast imaging procedures.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Provide a safe environment for patients, co workers, and Medical staff at all timesPractice safety absolute when identifying patients throughout all breast imaging and proceduresGain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures; explaining equipment; answering questionsProvide high caliber breast imaging at all times by following established protocols and procedures; determining necessary adjustments for optimum results; retaking images as required; Apply the principles of teamwork in all aspects of providing patient careExercise independent, professional judgment in the performance of breast imagingMinimum Qualifications:Radiologic Technologist ARRT board certifiedMammography ARRT board certifiedMust meet all ACR/FDA Personnel QualificationsFamiliar with EPIC, Philips PACS, Hologic Mammography EquipmentGood communications skillsCompassionate patient care skills Reliable, punctual and well-organizedBenefits of Working at Middlesex HealthWhen you choose Middlesex Health, you have chosen a health care system that strives for excellence in patient care as well as employee satisfaction.
