Job Description
Job Summary:
Performs office duties including scheduling patient appointments, faxing, scanning, answering phones, and making copies. Greets, assists, and directs patients, visitors, and other hospital callers. Completes all check-ins, check-outs, rooming, vitals, questionnaires, and charge entry. Demonstrates working knowledge of insurance and/or third party payer pay or reimbursement procedures. Day-to-day operations of Front and Back Office, maintaining an organized environment while meeting customer needs. May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. BLS. Previous experience in a hospital or medical office environment. Ability to demonstrate competency in office environment. Conversant in medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified or Registered completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Bilingual in Spanish.
Salary range:
$23.03 - $32.41 Salary will be commensurate with experience.
