Materials Management Tech II

Purpose of Job Responsible and accountable for shipping and receiving functions of the Ridgeview Medical Center supply chain.  Assists with storeroom support and distribution functions for all Ridgeview Departments. Job Functions Receive merchandise into the organization utilizing the Materials Management Information System (MMIS). Distribute products throughout the organization. Maintain central distribution area to ensure supplies are clean and well organized to support accurate inventory counts and product integrity. Ship returns using the appropriate courier or shipping method. Perform courier functions as needed and coordinate courier runs in the absence of the Distribution Coordinator. Maintains location/department specific inventory lists and ensures supplies are kept at appropriate levels. Provides first point of contact for supply chain related customer service inquiries and needs at offsite locations. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education/Work Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years warehouse or supply chain experience Must be 21 years of age to meet Ridgeview's insurability requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions Ability to make simple mathematic calculations, including the use of a calculator Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above License/Certifications Valid MN Driver's License Preferred Qualifications 1 year inventory management experience US MN DOT Medical Certification Physical Demands Link to Employee Health Physical Demands Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as:  the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.  Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
