Job Description
The Clinical Application Analyst works with members of the healthcare system to provide support and training for information systems
used in the hospital, ambulatory or home care settings.
Responsibilities include:
ï‚·
Analyzing, designing, configuring and providing ongoing maintenance of applications.
ï‚·
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the health system to continuously evaluate application utilization and
make

for optimization to improve the user experience.
ï‚·
Utilizing knowledge and skills of clinical practice to ensure information systems are consistent with professional standards of
clinical practice.
ï‚·
Providing training to staff and providers on the EMR and other clinical systems during new implementation and ongoing
operations.
This position reports to the
Manager of Applications

inimum qualifications:
ï‚·
Five – nine (5 - 9) years experience supporting and implementing healthcare information systems.
ï‚·
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related health care degree.
ï‚·
Work experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.
ï‚·
Three or more years experience in clinical nursing or clinical ancillary role (Radiology, Lab,
etc.
)

Proven ability to interact professionally with staff and management at all levels of the organization.
ï‚·
Working knowledge of healthcare information systems and their use in patient care.
ï‚·
Experience training and supporting EMRs in physician offices and/or hospital setting during implementation and ongoing
operations.
ï‚·
Experience in optimizing the use of advanced EMR features, improving the clinical workflow, and using the EMR to improve
and measure performance.
ï‚·
Knowledge of quality reporting programs.
ï‚·
Knowledge of E&M and ICD coding
ï‚·
Maintains a positive attitude when interacting with peers and customers.
ï‚·
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
ï‚·
Ability to manage time effectively to support projects as well as day-to-day support activities.
ï‚·
Willing to learn new technologies and techniques.
ï‚·
Ability to use project management tools and techniques to support implementation and upgrade projects.
ï‚·
Ability to work with report writing tools/ reporting software products.
ï‚·
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
ï‚·
Works well independently as well as in a team environment.
