OverviewThe Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services by evaluating patients, establishing and implementing effective treatment plans with functional treatment goals, providing patient education and exercise/activity programs, constructing appropriate orthotic devices and educating in use of adaptive equipment. Position is responsible for observing, evaluating and documenting the results of treatment interventions and modify treatment plan accordingly and provides age specific direct patient care according to the unit's scope of service. The primary setting for this position is Raleigh Campus Outpatient Rehab and may be required to cover other areas of the WakeMed Rehab Continuum as needed. Populations served include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, other neurological issues as well as post-surgical orthopedics, multi-trauma and debility for both adults and pediatric populations.
