##### **About the Role** ##### Meritus Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled **Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)** to join our Total Rehab Care team. Under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OTR), you will provide treatment and follow-up care to patients of all ages--from newborns to older adults--helping them achieve their highest level of function. ##### As a key member of the rehab team, you'll collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and deliver outstanding therapy services. ##### **What You 'll Do** * ##### Deliver direct patient care according to the therapist's plan of care, including treatment interventions, caregiver training, equipment use, and referrals. * ##### Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and contribute to discharge planning. * ##### Support patients and families by providing education, motivation, and encouragement. * ##### Collaborate with rehab team members and participate in team and case conferences. * ##### Provide supervision and mentorship to aides, students, observers, and volunteers. ##### **What We 're Looking For** * ##### Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with an Associate of Arts degree. * ##### **Licensure:** Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license (or temporary license pending board exam/reciprocity). * ##### **Certification:** Current BLS certification (not required for Behavioral Health). * ##### Strong clinical skills, responsibility, and dedication to patient care. * ##### Ability to motivate, encourage, and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. ##### **Why Join Meritus Health?** * ##### Be part of a collaborative, patient-centered rehab team. * ##### Work with a diverse patient population across the lifespan. * ##### Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and continuing education. * ##### Comprehensive benefits package (details available upon application). ##### **Caring for Our Team**** **We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees' well-being and professional growth.
