OverviewWakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with over 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. Our organization places a high value on quality, caring and compassionate physicians and we are committed to providing state-of-the-art health care to our patients and the community we serve. We are currently seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care physician to join a hybrid practice that combines inpatient critical care coverage with outpatient pulmonary medicine to join our group in Raleigh, NC. Our team currently consists of 28 physicians and 21 APP's. Our physicians provide inpatient critical care at WakeMed as well as inpatient pulmonology services and eICU coverage. Typical procedures include bronchoscopy, central lines, intubation, thoracentesis among others. Typical full-time schedule is approximately 16 in-house shifts per month. Nightshifts are supported with eICU cross-coverage and assistance. Fantastic opportunity for those who have an interest in clinical teaching as our physicians also supervise second-year ED residents who rotate through our ICUs. Outpatient Pulmonology will also be included in this role. With an expected 50/50 Split between Inpatient and Outpatient. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APP's within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
