Lactation Consultant

Develops policies, procedures and professional guidelines in the delivery of care to breastfeeding women so that they might achieve their breastfeeding goals. Assesses, plans, implements, documents, and evaluates plan of care regarding breastfeeding women. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse by the State of Florida, BSN required. Licensed to practice an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) by the Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in maternal, newborn, or women’s health care.
