Job Description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Medication Access Specialist to join the team at Stephens Pharmacy. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the facility: Stephens Pharmacy is a trusted, community-based pharmacy dedicated to delivering friendly, reliable, and personalized care to every patient served. The experienced professionals at Stephens Pharmacy take the time to support patients and go beyond simply filling prescriptions. Available services include medication reviews, immunizations, and medication delivery.  

A typical day includes: Coordinating medication prior authorization (pharmacy benefit), benefit investigation, and payer approval processes to support timely patient access to prescribed therapies.

Serves as a liaison between providers, patients, pharmacies, payers, and pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure accurate and compliant processing of authorization requests. 
Assists with processing applications and compliance management for the CMH Drug Discount Program.
Completes inventory management duties.
Assist with cost/financial reporting, productivity metric reporting, and efficiency analysis.
Performs Pharmacy Technician tasks as required.

Job Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Knowledge of 340B Program regarding patient enrollment, regulatory compliance and pharmacy benefit medication Prior Authorization (PA) processes, and insurance/PBM formulary coverage processes (quantity limits, step therapy, etc) preferred
Skills: Inventory cycle management, Excel, communication
Licensure/Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Missouri upon hire
Physical: Ability to stand for 90% of the time and sit for the remaining 10%
