As a **Patient Care Technician (PCT)** on our Surgery Oncology Unit, you'll be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals undergoing surgery and cancer treatment. ### What You'll Do Working closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll provide hands-on support that enhances patient comfort, safety, and recovery. Your responsibilities will include: * Assisting patients with personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, toileting, and linen changes * Supporting mobility, ambulation, repositioning, and transfers to promote healing and independence * Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting observations to the care team * Accurately documenting patient information in medical records * Providing compassionate emotional support to patients and families during important moments in their care journey Every day offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients facing surgical recovery and cancer treatment. ### Why You'll Love This Unit The **Surgery Oncology Unit** is a 32-bed inpatient adult comprehensive multidisciplinary department that provides specialized care for both surgical and oncology patients.
