Job Description
OverviewThe Patient Relations Specialist, RN serves as a liaison between customers, patients and/or their families and WakeMed Health & Hospitals to align personnel and resources to best meet the patient's real-time needs. The Specialist will also work retrospectively to address complaints/grievances received post-discharge and attempt to make service-recovery as well as foster process improvement based on patient concerns. The Specialist will role-model Wake Way behaviors while assisting in the design and implementation of initiatives that help promote a culture of patient-centered care which emphasizes excellent service, communication and compassion. The Specialist represents the voice of the patient and collaborates with departmental managers, directors and staff to ensure that all patient experiences embody the highest degree of service and quality of care.
