Department: Oncology Pharmacy
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 6-230 or 7-330
Summary:
A Pharmacy Technician who is licensed to practice as a Pharmacy Technician and is registered with the State Board of Pharmacy in Arkansas. This technician will assist the Pharmacist in medication distribution functions, IV compounding, and other duties to enhance hospital-wide patient care.
Other information:
1. Must have a Pharmacy Technician License with State Board of Pharmacy in Arkansas (in good standing)
2. Has achieved and actively maintains Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification or has achieved and actively maintains the ExCPT certification from the NHA
3. Have met or exceeded all performance standards of a Pharmacy Technician III and must meet three of the four requirements below:
* Able to effectively train employees at the Tech I, II, or III level
* Has a proven continuous record of engagement and commitment by working on initiatives to improve pharmacy staff and operations
* Competent to work in multiple specialty areas of a BH pharmacy operation (e.g. bar code repackaging, narcotics, buying/receiving/inventory mgmt., critical care, NICU, medication reconciliation, etc.)
* Has responsibility for all operational aspects of a specialized technician areas (bar code repackaging, narcotics, buying/receiving/inventory management, critical care satellite, NICU satellite, and PTAMT process).
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
