Overview
Beebe Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Centralized Surgical & Procedural Scheduler to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will coordinate surgical and procedural scheduling across multiple care settings, ensuring patients receive timely access to care while supporting efficient operations for providers and clinical teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, excels in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong communication and scheduling skills. This position serves as a critical liaison between physician practices, patients, and procedural departments to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule surgical and procedural cases within Epic in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Coordinate scheduling across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and procedural suites throughout the health system.
- Ensure accuracy of scheduling details, including procedure type, surgeon, equipment needs, and estimated case duration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between physician offices and perioperative services.
- Monitor schedules and support optimal block utilization through proactive case management.
- Coordinate with pre-admission testing, insurance authorization teams, and clinical departments to facilitate patient readiness.
- Conduct outbound patient calls to coordinate procedure dates and provide scheduling support.
- Schedule post-operative appointments and ensure continuity of care.
- Initiate and track insurance authorization workflows as needed.
- Maintain compliance with scheduling policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in scheduling audits, quality initiatives, and process improvement efforts designed to enhance patient access and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of two years of healthcare scheduling, patient access, medical office, or related healthcare experience.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred
- Experience scheduling surgical or procedural cases.
- Experience utilizing Epic or a comparable electronic health record system.
- Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Experience working in perioperative services, physician practices, patient access, or surgical scheduling environments.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
Entry
USD $17.25/Hr.
Max
USD $26.74/Hr.
