Job Description

The clinicians in Boston Children’s Department of Urology — ranked among the best in the nation in pediatric urology by U.S. News & World Report — provide expert care for the entire spectrum of urologic conditions. Our team sees infants, children, and adolescents with common urological conditions such as hydronephrosis , urinary reflux, undescended testicles , kidney stones , hypospadias , and urinary incontinence . We also offer deep expertise and a multispecialty approach to more complex urological conditions including bladder exstrophy , epispadias , spina bifida , cloacal anomalies , and genitourinary cancers. Key responsibilities : Develops and implements programs for the Department of Patient Services which are congruent with the philosophy and goals of the department and the mission and values of Children's Hospital. Provides visionary leadership to individuals and interdisciplinary teams, which ultimately serve to advantage patients and families. Collaborates with senior leadership, management, and physician colleagues to achieve programmatic goals. Develops, implements and evaluates strategic interdisciplinary programs which are consistent with the mission, values and goals of Children's Hospital. Complies with regulatory compliance with standards, laws and requirements of requisite agencies with appropriate systems/processes. Leads individuals and work groups to continuously improve performance by creating an environment that ensures application of quality principles and techniques to achieve desired outcomes Provides leadership for the development of and/or participation in studies, research, publications and public presentations. Maintains professional liaison with area schools and universities. Minimum qualifications : Education : BSN Masters degree in Nursing Experience : 8 plus years RN experience with at least 5 years of progressive nursing leadership in a supervisory or nurse leader role. License/Certification : Current nursing certification in a specialty. Must obtain NE-BC certification within 2 years of hire. The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
