Position Summary The Division of Emergency Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Clinical Research Manager to oversee the Clinical Research team. This fully on-site leadership role is responsible for the day-to-day management, development, and support of a team of 5–7 clinical research professionals while ensuring the effective operation of the division's research programs. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations, supervision, and development of the Clinical Research team, ensuring staff have the training, resources, and support needed to successfully recruit participants and execute study activities across a portfolio of research studies. Manage and oversee clinical research administrative processes, workflows, and systems to promote operational efficiency, consistency, and regulatory compliance. Provide ongoing performance management, coaching, and guidance to clinical research staff while ensuring adherence to study protocols, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements; collaborate closely with Principal Investigators to address study needs and priorities. Serve as a key consultant to Principal Investigators on study implementation, IRB submissions and approvals, participant recruitment strategies, and budget development and management. Monitor study progress and team performance, preparing reports and communicating project status, milestones, risks, and resource needs to investigators and leadership. Partner with the Director of Research and Division Director to support strategic planning, program growth, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives within the clinical research team. Allocate resources and manage team workload across multiple studies, ensuring appropriate coverage, prioritization, and successful execution of research activities. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM or Psychology Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant work experience OR Master’s and 4 years of relevant work experience. Knowledge of industry trials preferred. The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
