PRN Registered Nurse - Newborn Nursery (RN)
Job Details
Job Description
# Big Impact for the Littlest Patients Not every nursing career lets you care for kids at every stage of healing--from everyday childhood illnesses to higher-acuity care when they need it most. The Pediatric Unit is a 19-bed specialty unit that includes 4 PICU beds, giving nurses the opportunity to care for infants through adolescents across a wide range of needs. From respiratory illnesses, dehydration, infections, and GI conditions to post-surgical care and more critical pediatric patients requiring closer monitoring, this unit offers a unique blend of variety, challenge, and purpose. What makes this unit stand out is the breadth of care it provides. In addition to inpatient pediatrics and PICU-level support, the team also provides outpatient pediatric infusions, port blood draws, and sedated imaging--creating an environment where nurses can build broad pediatric expertise while working alongside pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and specialty providers. Most importantly, this team is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment for both children and their families. It's a place where compassion matters just as much as clinical skill, and where every shift is an opportunity to bring comfort, confidence, and healing to young patients when they need it most. **If you're looking for a role that combines specialized pediatric care, teamwork, and the chance to make a lasting difference for children and families, Pediatrics is the place for you.** **Requirements** * Active Indiana RN license or valid compact RN license
