In this role, you'll serve as an important resource for patients by assisting with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance information. As a trusted ambassador of Deaconess, you'll help create a welcoming environment built on courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity, and optimism while ensuring patients receive the support they need throughout their healthcare journey. What You'll Do: * Assist patients with registration, insurance verification, payment collection, and financial assistance resources. * Deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and hospital policies. * Support patient access and account management through registration, financial counseling, cash handling, and administrative functions. * Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate patient admissions and care coordination. * Provide cross-coverage within the Access Department and perform other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: * Completion of High School or GED is required. * Two to four years of experience in a physician office, hospital registration, collection agency, hospital or professional billing, or training at an educational institution that includes medical billing is required.
