Plant Engineer Position Summary The Plant Engineer is a First grade engineer that operates, maintains and repairs stationary mechanical equipment, such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, steam boilers, hot water boilers, valves, temperature controls, air handling units, microwave disinfection unit, power systems, and all ancillary plant equipment to provide for utilities such as light, heat, air conditioning services for the hospital campus. Maintains energy systems, procedures, and measures including system analysis and reporting. Delivers exceptional quality and service to all patients and other customers. Plant Engineer Position Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent is required; experience and/or certifications in lieu of a diploma may be considered. First Grade Engineer's license is required. Experience Experience in a large physical plant working with boiler, chillers, generators and ancillary equipment is required. Plant Engineer Work Schedule May be assigned to any shift. May be assigned to weekend duty.
