Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Biomedical Engineering | Work Hours: 7:30 - 1600 | Weekend Requirements: As Needed | 1.0 FTE
**Job Summary:**
Repairs, calibrates, and maintains all types of basic clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems under relatively close supervision.
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Repairs, installs, maintains, calibrates, and inspects a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation and electronic equipment.
* Performs preventive maintenance and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices, and systems.
* Diagnoses and corrects system and equipment malfunctions.
* Maintains documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.
* Responds to service requests and performs problem assessment, troubleshooting, correction, and documentation.
* Provides technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to personnel.
* Performs and/or assists with the installation of specialized equipment and systems.
* Schedules and oversees third-party repair as necessary.
* Consults with and educates operators and management on specialized biomedical equipment and systems.
* Performs related duties as assigned.

* Associate's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field as determined by the organization required upon hire.
