This is a hybrid position that floats between multiple neurology practice locations, combining on‑site collaboration with providers and virtual patient care.In this role, you will deliver high‑touch, patient‑centric specialty pharmacy services, serving as a trusted medication expert for both patients and neurology providers. You will play a key role in optimizing complex medication therapies, improving access, and enhancing the overall specialty pharmacy experience.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary pharmacy resource embedded within Neurology specialty practicesProvide comprehensive education and ongoing monitoring for specialty medicationsAddress medication‑related questions and concerns between provider visitsReview and interpret medication orders, assessing:Appropriateness of therapyEfficacy and therapeutic goalsAdverse effects and contraindicationsDrug–drug, drug–food, drug–lab, and drug–disease interactionsMonitor and evaluate drug therapy outcomes in accordance with established clinical guidelinesDocument patient encounters and follow‑ups, adhering to URAC and ACHC accreditation standardsCollaborate closely with specialty pharmacists, technicians, access coordinators, and call center teams to ensure seamless prescription processing and patient supportParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, medication use evaluations, and safety reportingContribute to the development and revision of pharmacy and health system policies and protocolsProvide education and training for pharmacy staff, allied health professionals, and patient groupsPrecept pharmacy residents and students, and participate in research or scholarly activities as assignedEducation & Experience RequirementsPharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy requiredCompletion of an ASHP‑accredited PGY1 residency or at least 3 years clinical experience requiredBoard Certification (BPS) or Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) preferredAmbulatory care and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferredCurrent licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of DelawareAbility to obtain licensure in additional states as required for virtual patient careChristianaCare OffersIncredible Work/Life benefits including medical/dental/ vision insurance coverage on your first day of employment, paid PTO, retirement plans, paid parental leave, annual membership to care.com, access to backup care services for dependents through Care@Work, retirement planning services, financial coaching, fitness and wellness reimbursement, and great discounts through several vendors for hotels, rental cars, theme parks, shows, sporting events, movie tickets and much more.If you 're inspired to make a difference, we invite you to become a ChristianaCare caregiver!Hourly Pay Range: $58.26 - $93.22This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
