Nursing care is provided to oncology hematology patients including education and chemotherapy administration. We provide services to adults patients and offer a range of professional services. All nursing staff are educated and trained in all types of vascular access devices. We seek an experienced registered nurse to provide care to these patients while administering services. The infusion services offered at ChristianaCare Union Hospital Center include, but are not limited to: Chemotherapy ,Antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-viral medications, Blood Product Transfusions , IV Immune Globulin, Therapeutic Phlebotomies, Iron Therapy, InjectionsWe are currently hiring for a RN to work 36 hours per week for the Outpatient Infusion Unit at Cecil Campus - Union Hospital.Typical shifts are 4 – 9 hour shifts but must be flexible to meet the needs of the unit. Weekends & holiday required as per department guidelines.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:Performs arm preps and venipunctures, and assesses venous devices on patients.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver care appropriate to patients. This requires the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify age-specific patient needs, and to provide the care needed.Transfuses blood and blood components according to procedure. Monitors patients for complications and adverse effects and responds medically as required.Administers IV medications to patients. Monitors patients for reactions and responds as required. Documents administration of medications as required.Requirements:ADN required; BSN preferredCurrent RN license.BLS required.3-5 years’ experienceKnowledge of Bio-Chemo is an added bonus.Oncology certification preferredHourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
