Polysomnographic Technician

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Missouri, is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technician for the Sleep Lab. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. About the department: The Sleep Lab at CMH performs diagnostic sleep studies including In-Lab along with HSTtesting and CPAP/Bi-Pap/ASV titration sleep studies to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related disorders.

A typical day will include: 

Review physician orders, medications, and medical histories prior to collecting sleep studies
Prepare and maintain sleep lab equipment, supplies, and documentation
Welcome and guide patients through the testing process
Provide clear pre-test and post-test instructions and demonstrations
Perform sleep studies and ensure proper data acquisition
Score and prepare acquisition for day-shift review
Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable lab environment

Position Summary: The Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) is responsible for conducting sleep studies, ensuring accurate data collection and delivering a high-quality patient experience throughout the testing process.

Job Requirements:

Education: Must meet eligibility requirements set by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
Experience: One year of experience providing testing services in a hospital setting preferred
Skills: Patient care, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills
Licensure/Certification: Certified as an RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
