Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our staff at the Humansville Family Medical Center in Humansville, MO! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the Department: The Humansville Family Medical Center sees patients of all ages for a variety of illnesses, injuries and ailments. The medical staff also provides complete family care, well-baby exams, well-woman exams, Medicare wellness visits, obstetrical care, immunizations, behavioral health and same-day appointments. The clinic provides certified medical exams and drug screens for DOT.  

A typical day will include: 

Following proper procedures to perform blood draws, collect specimens, and complete lab tests 
Accurately labeling specimens and storing them according to policies
Cleaning equipment and work areas, and stocking supplies
May act as clinic receptionist, greeting patients, notifying appropriate team members of patients' arrivals, answering phones, and filing
Assisting with radiology and medical assisting duties as needed if appropriate training has been provided. 

Job Requirements:

Education: High school diploma preferred
Experience: One year of phlebotomy experience preferred; medical assistant and/or radiology experience desired
Skills: Patient care
Licensure/Certification: Phlebotomy certification preferred
Physical: Standing for the majority of the work day

The position is: Full-time, Mon-Fri, 7:45 am-4:15 pm
