DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVE

To coordinate with all CMH departments to observe, train and manage the upcoming workforce pursuing a Business Track through schooling. To groom the workforce into successful CMH employees.

JOB SUMMARY

Observes Recruiting, Marketing, Activities, Administration, Patient Access, Health Information, Materials Management, and Clinic Management department activities, maintains a courteous and respectful demeanor, participates in projects/tasks given by supervisor, attends meetings/training when available, logs duties, creates resume and prepares for interview following internship. Able to work independently, maintain an organized log and participate in and contribute to projects.

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS




 

JOB SPECIFICS/RESPONSIBILITIES: NOT ALL INCLUSIVE NOR ALL REQUIRED FOR EVERY ROLE







Observes Recruiting, Marketing, Activities, Administration, Patient Access, Health Information, Materials Management, and Clinic Management department activities








Spend 2-4 hours in each department, observing daily tasks.










Connect with leaders and department members, creating relationships and asking questions and understanding job duties.










Recruiting: complete reference calls, meet with new hires, create advertisements and attend meetings if available.










Marketing: observe/help record video productions, ad campaigns and graphic designs.










Finance: observe billing and creation of invoices and see how payroll is completed.










LTC Coordination: help with training for employees, complete rounds and attend meetings if available.










Activities: create activity plans for residents, gather supplies and put events together and visit with residents.










Administration: review staffing schedules, observe daily business operations and attend meetings if available.










Patient Access: observe phone conversations and recording of patient information.










Health Information: observe/help with patient data entry and communicate any missing documents.










Materials Management: fulfill organizational orders, work on stock items and maintain accurate supply of inventory.










Clinic Management: observe/help create staffing schedule, find solutions to problems that arise and order supplies as needed.








Maintains a courteous and respectful demeanor.






Participates in projects/tasks given by supervisor.








Various projects may be created by individual supervisors.








Attends meetings/training when available.








Respectfully observes meetings and asks questions in debrief with supervisor.








Logs duties, creates resume and prepares for interview following internship.








Further job seeking skills by adding assigned tasks to resume.










Prepare resume for interview, if earned, with department seeking employment with intern.








Able to work independently.








Complete projects/tasks on own if asked.








Maintain an organized log and participate in and contribute to projects.








Keep track of all duties to turn in report after summer to HR.










Maintain patient/organization privacy with various projects/duties as assigned.
