Medical Lab Technologist (MLT)

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our Hospital Lab Department in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The Laboratory Department provides a fast-paced, 24/7 work environment dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostic services as requested by physicians and healthcare providers. As a team member, you will collaborate closely with colleagues while gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of the lab, including chemistry, hematology, and serology.

A typical day includes: Performing laboratory functions, specimen testing, and quality control per policy utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Receives written requisitions from physicians for laboratory tests
Obtains laboratory specimens using established laboratory techniques
Calibrates, maintains, and operates equipment necessary to perform tests
Reports test results in a timely manner
Completes documentation and record-keeping tasks with accuracy to meet high standards for quality control 

This Position Is: Full-time - 10am-8:30pm with a weekend rotation schedule

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree with applicable experience to obtain ASCP or AMT certification
Experience: 1 year of experience preferred
Skills: Attention to detail, problem-solving, teamwork
Licensure/Certification: ASCP or AMT license/certification required upon hire
