Registered Dietitian - Diabetic Education Center

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our staff caring for patients at the Diabetic Education Center! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The CMH Diabetic Education Center provides various services to help patients improve their nutritional intake. Services are tailored to each patient's individual needs.

A typical day includes: Providing nutritional care and education to diabetes patients and others.

Completes nutrition assessments and consults in a timely manner
Conducts follow-ups to track patients' progress and outcomes
Provides nutrition education and counseling to patients and family members to optimize nutrition compliance and quality of life
Utilizes equipment, supplies, and procedures as applicable to scope of practice and patient demographics served

Job Requirements:

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics and completion of an approved dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program; or Registered Nurse
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in diabetes self-management education OR in an endocrinology clinic setting
Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration; State of Missouri Licensed Dietitian, or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri; Certified Diabetes and Education Care Specialist, or must obtain within 2 years of employment

This position is: PRN with some nights and weekends required
