Physical Therapy Assistant

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team providing services at our Stockton Rehabilitation Clinic located in Stockton, MO. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the area: Stockton, Missouri is home to Stockton State Park, which offers a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and swimming. Stockton Lake is located a few minutes from our facility and is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike!

A typical day includes: Assisting therapists to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient therapy treatments utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment, and supplies to achieve intended outcomes.

Follows plans of care provided by therapists and monitors and reports progress 
Communicates with patients and caregivers to provide clear directions on the use of rehabilitative devices and equipment
Documents patient care services with relevant and timely information
Prepares and maintains work spaces and equipment 

This position is: Full-time, Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant program with an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
Experience: New graduates welcome; 1 year of experience preferred
Skills: Patient care, problem-solving, customer service, and listening skills
Licensure/Certification: Current Missouri Physical Therapy Assistant Certificate
Physical: Prolonged periods of standing and walking, ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. with patient and/or equipment assistance, ability to carry up to 35 lbs.
