LAUNDRY TECH - LTCC (FT)

JOB TITLE: Laundry Tech DEPARTMENT: Laundry REPORTS TO: Facilities Director JOB SUMMARY To provide the hospital, Long Term Care Center, Cedar Mountain Center and any other hospital facility with clean and sanitary linen. STARTING WAGE $15.19/HOUR + MORE DOE JOB REQUIREMENTS Able to read, understand and follow directions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. OFFERING SIGN-ON BONUS EXPERIENCE Entry level. Will provide on the job training. Previous laundry experience is helpful, but not necessary. SKILLS Must possess a high degree of confidentiality in all matters with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Must be able to perform a variety of routine duties and carry out assignments to completion with a minimum of supervision. Must have good communication skills. Must have the ability to work as a member of a team. Interest in the welfare of the patients and visitors. Must be able to work around unpleasant odors and illnesses. Must have the ability to multi-task. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS May be required to have a valid clean active driver#s license if retrieving or delivering laundry outbuildings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Weigh, chart, sort soiled linen, wash, dry and fold clean linen according to procedures. Mend and sew when necessary. Deliver clean and sanitary linen and personal clothing to designated areas. Responsible for keeping work area clean and sanitary. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS May be requested to do other related duties for which the individual is qualified to perform.
