**Job Description:**

The Housekeeper performs the day to day activities of the Housekeeping Department to assure that the hospital maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. Coordinates daily housekeeping services with nursing department when performing duties in patient areas. Follows proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area. The Housekeeper ensures that Infection Control and Universal Precautions are maintained when performing laundry procedures.Education: ▪ Preferred: High School Diploma OR Equivalent Experience: ▪ Preferred: 2 years hospitality, healthcare, or cleaning experience Skills: ▪ Able to work alone and after hours frequently required ▪ Able to stand and walk on a continual basis required ▪ Observes all safety standards and uses safety work techniques at all times ▪ Demonstrates the ability to be an advocate for and strive to protect the health, safety and rights of the patient ▪ Materials Safety Data Sheet and Personal Protective Equipment: portrays awareness of safety protocols Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ N/A
