Position Opening: Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer)
Salary Range: $45.36- $68.04 per hour based upon union contract

Position Summary: Perform Ultrasound exams and procedures. Collaborate with Diagnostic Imaging Radiologists and other staff to ensure proper exams are scheduled and performed in alignment with departmental protocols. Position and instruct patients, operates ultrasound equipment and determines the proper technical factors for diagnostic sonograms. Correctly marks and labels examinations (patient position and scan orientation). Communicates with Radiologists, both onsite and remote) and submit exams for interpretation in PACS and complete exam in EHR.
Job Requirements: Must be registered by ARDMS or other comparable certifying agency. If not registered but registry eligible, must pass the certification exam within one year of hire. Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from floor to wheelchair or waist; Ability to move forty (40) pounds six (6) feet; Ability to reach overhead holding twenty-five (25) pounds; Ability to lift forty (40) pounds from wheelchair to bed level; Ability to pull forty (40) pounds from stretcher to bed; Ability to push one hundred fifty (150) pound loaded stretcher 300 feet; Requires good stamina with flexibility and good manual dexterity and motor skills to operate equipment; Ability to distinguish color required; Requires computer skills; Demonstrated a good understanding of age-related development issues; Demonstrates accurate judgment/decision-making ability consistent with ultrasound knowledge and skills; Provides quality customer service and patient care using the standard ultrasound technology in accordance with established hospital policy/procedures.
