Make a Difference The Medical Assistant will be responsible for floating among offices of an assigned specialty or geographical area to provide coverage of traditional Medical Assisting duties: Assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. You will actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices. *Base rate calculated by experience plus $2.00/hr float premium* Exceptional Skills and Qualifications Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.  Diploma from a Medical Assistant program OR a high school diploma + 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in physician practice.  Medical Assistant certification required   Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies   Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload  Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection  Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system  Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols  Process referrals and medication refills  Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff Position is Monday through Friday supporting South Region Primary Care offices, Covering MA's out of office for scheduled time off or emergent call in's, etc., hours 8 - 4:30 pm,
